So, I've pretty much finished my wedding and event section of my site.

(Click here for direct link: www.socaleventvideo.com (http://www.socaleventvideo.com))

Now, I've been redesigning my main site. And, so far, this is the background that I've done:

http://www.totaldynamicstudios.com/TDS/New1.html

The texture is completely mine, built in Photoshop, and the entire background was also layered and modified in the same. The old projector photo is one that I took at the Edison in late May.

There will be a menu across the top bar. I'm planning to add a few more decorative "accessories" like pipes or tubes connecting the top bar to the main area, and probably a few gears to create more of the "dynamic" theme to go with my business' name.

Am I headed in a good direction? Do you like it? Hate it?

If this is looking decent, I'm considering making up a few web templates and selling them for some residual income. Do you think it's professional-looking enough that people would buy similar designs?

Thanks for any and all input! :)

I love it Tresa! I think making up some templates to sell for extra income is a perfect idea. I am sure there are plenty of people that would love to use them!

I love the camera background. It's a very neat subtle touch. It's definitely your business to a tee! Keep it! I also love the logo with the streak of light. I also love the scheme

As for the SoCal Event Video site I love the color scheme. I also love how the fonts are large enough for me to read and bold to boot. The cursive accents are a nice touch too! :) Very majestic and professional. Kudos! :snap:

Keep up the awesome work! :)

Aw, heck with it. I'm too productive on a holiday. In fact, I forgot it was a holiday.

Anyway, I just uploaded the few enhancements I spoke about in my OP.

So, please start here: www.totaldynamicstudios.com (http://www.totaldynamicstudios.com), and give a second for it to load my animated logo.

From there, you can navigate to the main page, where all the links at the top will not currently work, since I'm awaiting some feedback before going further.

Please let me know what you think! :D

I'm not sure why but the animated logo would not load for me even after a minute. It's probably my older-than-dirt computer. I am sure I'll be able to see it on my new PC I will be getting in the next few weeks.

The gears on the sides are a nice touch. The menu at the top is perfect, legible for even me, and the contrast is perfect! Good work! You should get time and a half for working on a holiday. :)

You need to install QuickTime to view it.....and I'm not going to do that again on this computer, major problems happened last time.

Will wait for more of your site to be built before I give an opinion, but looking good so far.

My PC and Quicktime (along with itunes) are not friends and don't seem to be compatible with each other so I know exactly what you mean, Diane
