Yeah, I heard of this a couple of weeks ago. Gak.

This will be all kinds of awful.

But at least it's not a remake.

I refuse to even acknowledge its existence.

Lost Boys is a cult classic and should be appreciated in its original form.

Come on, Hollywood. Time to actually get creative again!

What about the JC Penney commercial that is a Breakfast Club remake? I cringe every time it comes on.

And to add insult to injury, my kids totally don't get it. I believe lil' swanie's comment was "Breakfast what?"

I'm sooo getting old.

i love how everyone is fooled into thinking it's a breakfast club remake (since it plays right between the TV-style commercials and the actual coming attractions in theaters).

It's a testament to Everything Will Be Remade that people don't blink at a remake of The Breakfast Club and are surprised when it turns out to be a JC Penney commercial.

Now I'm really glad I skip through most commercials, thanks to our DVR.

You can't skip through commercials at a movie theater. That's why they've migrated there.

Though the Regal owned chains have begun interrupting the projected commercials with their own personal commercials of having employees come in and try to sell Dibs and Wil Rogers contributions.

I've been wondering what the people who pay for the projected ads would think about the sound being turned off for this.

I don't know if it has been discussed in the Movies thread, but there is a documentary (American Teen (http://www.americanteenthemovie.com/)) being released that is being paralleled to Breakfast Club.

When Nanette Burstein (Writer/Director) was shooting the documentary over the course of a year about five teens in Indiana, she did not realize it, but when editing began, she realized the amazing parallels. At least that is how it is being presented.

I loved Lost boys but I have no interest in a remake of it....or much of the other trash they redo!

It's one of my favorites. I found it sickingly amusing that "the Corey's" are reprising their roles, and are wearing basically the same costumes (per the commercial). But my heart broke even more when I heard Cry Little Sister in it.
