View Full Version : A thread for the ladies

tracilicious

Ok, not just for the ladies, but I figured titling it as such would guarantee that all the guys would look as well, and they can comment on their experience in the subject.

So over the weekend three separate friends (two lesbians and one straight guy) commented that every girl they've ever slept with has been bald...um...you know, vulvularly. Not just trimmed up. Completely bald.

Did I miss the memo on this one? Is every woman in America now bare down there? Have sexual expectations shifted to shaving including the entire body? An extensive polling is necessary.

My personal experience would be the exact opposite.

Is every woman in America now bare down there?

In my world of imagination...yes.

However, stubble and razor burn is worse than a thick bush. Neatly trimmed is preferable over shaving. Waxed is best. YMMV

And yes, the thread title pulled me in. :D

The most common I've seen is mostly bald with a bit of lawn or landing strip.

seen?....yeah, that pretty much says it. far more with a very small amount than none at all. very few fem-yeti seen of late. endangered species perhaps? one can hope.

for personal preference (and experience), Ive always liked the term "tuft"

(lol. and in a thread titled 'for the ladies'...of course, the first 4 responses are male. gotta love it)

I've heard tell that a some of the LoT men like it. I personally hate to be that shaved - I mean, HATE it - and am pretty glad that my husband (and every other man I've been with) has preferred the natural look.

I prefer not having hair stuck in my teeth.

However, I have not engaged in polling (heh heh, yes, I said it) a statistically significant population sample to be able to make any trend determinations.

Also, there are alternatives to shaving that don't so much result in stubble.

LSPoorEeyorick
09-03-2008, 12:02 PM
Yeah, but they DO involve a ****-ton of pain.

Alex
09-03-2008, 12:05 PM
Not in my experience (I don't imagine we're thinking of the same alternative), and pain thresholds vary anyway. YMMV and all of that.

But if you don't personally like it then definitely it shouldn't be done because of someone else's preferences (for the record, I never have and never would make any request to a woman to change existing habits).

LSPoorEeyorick
09-03-2008, 12:05 PM
And also, I prefer not having hair at the back of my throat, but I'd never want my partner to shave or wax unless he liked it. There's a pretty simple solution. Prior to cunnilingus or fellatio, groom.

And, you're right. Pain thresholds ARE different. I experience terrible pain, and terrible, terrible pleasure. So, deal with my bush or miss out on my Madeline Kahn orgasms. Heh.

"Hi honey, I'm home. I'm going to go down on you in a couple hours. Could you stop what you're doing and go make yourself pretty."

But more seriously, the hair comment is mostly a joke. The presence or lack thereof of hair does not in any way alter the course of activities.

LSPoorEeyorick
09-03-2008, 12:08 PM
Seriously? It takes a couple of quick tugs, a little fluff, the fallen-out hairs are gone.

But, yeah, I know. And hopefully you can tell from my comments above, I'm not begrudging anyone their hairless fun. As long as they don't begrudge me my hairpie-eating contests.

Shaved, not shaved... either is okay with me.
But if it looks like someone is holding a wig between their thighs, I suggest pruning.

I'm personally not into being bald but I know many girls who wax or shave down there.

I here in swimsuit season it is the thing to do. Then again I wouldn't be caught dead in a swimsuit out in public. Oh wait, unless it's in a hotel pool with my son. Then I have no choice but to get in the pool but I make sure to go at an off-time.

Well, in my experience a couple quick tugs isn't going to solve that issue. Maybe yours are more firmly attached than the average person's.

But you are most certainly not begrudged (by me anyway) whatever groinal condition you may prefer. My view is, if I'm not going to be touching or looking at it, it is 100% not my business. If I am not going to be looking at it it it is 99.8% not my business (that 0.2% arises if you want me to pay to look at it). If am going to be touching it, it is 99% none of my business.

Presence or non-presence of pubic hair is a pretty reliable way of dating porn.

I miss the 80s. (Not least because back then porn movies had plots. They were atrocious, but I do look back on them kind of fondly.)

I've never been waxed... do you do it yourself or let some stranger wax/see/touch your cooch?Lordy, I can't imagine doing that myself, no way no how. Yup, having someone else do it means exposing yourself somewhat. They give you throw-away panties to wear, so it's not full frontal. It does hurt A FVCKING LOT and I've quit the practice myself, though the results are absolutely heavenly and I miss that.

I shave down there and leave the top to grow, trimming once in a while. Best of both worlds. I prefer it. There's much more to sense without a thicket between me and him. Don't knock it until you try it, it's a whole other world...

waxing is a pita and regrowth us uglier that a furry bush. I trim in the winter and wax the sides when a baithing suit is eminate. I waxed almost all of it a total of once. That was enough. I'm just lucky I'm not terribly hairy.

Not knockin' it in the least. Shaving isn't that big of a deal - but I've often wondered about waxing. Saw a video of it online and it looked incredibly painful... After it's all done and over with I imagine it's probably pretty nice - but getting it done...

Don't knock it until you try it, it's a whole other world...

And I'm not knocking it for anybody else but me. I have tried it, and I really hated it! Not just the pain, but the way it felt day-to-day, the way it felt intimately (which was a subpar sensation), and the way, looking at it, I felt like I was looking at a prepubescent girl. Seriously, if it's anyone's bag (or, box) have at it! Different things feel (and resonate) differently with different people. But it just isn't for me.

I regularly shave the bottom and sides and trim the top. I've completely shaved a couple times - it's nice until it starts to grow back in and then I feel like I want to claw my cooch off because it itches like hell for a day or two. So, I much prefer my regular method.

I've thought about getting some stencils though, just for occasional kicks. I could have my very own hidden Mickey! ;)

But if you skip it for a few months and go back, you're starting all over. I can't stick to a schedule so I'm over it.

Also - never go cheap. Spend the extra cash for a decent place - and a decent person - to do the job.

Oh my gawd. Um...I've had this problem just from shaving my f'in legs, I can't imagine that itch.....anywhere else.

Seriously, I'd guess the past couple of years, after shaving my legs, when the hair starts to grow back it kills me. If I didn't stop myself I'd scratch my legs raw.

So, this is a thread for the ladies, can't we have some eye candy? :D

I shaved exactly once, and it was among the more horrible experiences of my life. It took WEEKS for it to stop hurting. I must have remarkably sensitive skin. I discovered that I can get a near-bald trim with a small headed trimmer, and I find that it trims to just past the point of sand paper, so best of both worlds.

I also tend to shave only when sexual contact is likely- when I'm single, I tend to let it do its thing. It makes for a more intense experience when I do finally get a little, um, attention.

I've taken to getting my legs waxed lately- when I can remember to make the dang appointments. I've had a bikini wax and I think I need to find someone who will do a bit more. I'm not a fan of the bald bit, from either viewpoint, but ... I guess "under control" might be nice.

I have found I *can't* shave my legs anymore unless I want to spend the next month or so recovering; it itches *terribly* and I scratch myself raw. For some reason the growing-in from a wax isn't nearly as bad.

I do tend to trim up, I see no reason to have wild hair all over the place. The sight of Robbin Williams with his shirt off is enough to make me wanna hurl. And yes, I tried the shave bit with my wife once, once. Double stubble! Yikes!!!! What a mistake that was!

I've never been waxed... do you do it yourself or let some stranger wax/see/touch your cooch? When S got waxed, she would be in a chair not unlike a gyno exam. The girl doing the procedure was "down there" staring into the Valley of the Goddess.

Did you see the Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay hot tub scene? :eek:While it is not in the same region, I was thinking of 40 Year Old Virgin.

As a special treat for me once, S had the entire area waxed for me. Everything. She had resisted for a long time for all the usual reasons. But she was surprised when she found she actually preferred it herself: it was more comfortable and the sensations were better for her. And I am certainly not complaining.

Waxing is the only way for her. While the procedure is painful, that goes away after a couple of hours. The annoyance of the stubble (for both of us) and razor burn is far worse. And I have not noticed any negative grow-back issues.

Now, she was wants to have it all removed via laser. Gotta look into that.

This is a helpful website (http://www.hair-removal-shaver.com/pubic-hair-shaving-designs.html)!Don't attempt pubic hair shaving designs right after you wake up from sleeping. You need to be fully awake and alert. On this same note, you really shouldn't attempt pubic hair shaving designs unless you're totally straight either. So apparently, if you are gay, you shouldn't use this product.
