I could buy several thousand pairs of Fluevogs on an annul basis. Sadly, I'm stuck with the reality of about 2 a year (and a year's almost up!)
I also would really love to have these in all three colors. I think I'll start with black first, however.
http://content.nordstrom.com/ImageGallery/store/product/Gigantic/3/_5628063.jpg
Now, the reality of new fall clothes is that the majority of my pants are too big due to weight loss. Now, I probably NEED pants, but I'm not done losing weight, so I'm going to run about in sloppy drawers for a bit longer. (That, and I'd really rather have shoes.)

So Target is running out or out of most of the adorable shoes. There was a to die for pair of dark red heels that I was finally ready to buy, but alas, none left in the right size.
Available online (I think $5 more expensive, but I could be wrong): http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Velda-Patent-Oxford-Pumps/dp/B0017MVDO2/qid=1222209670/ref=br_1_5/602-6401411-5642208?ie=UTF8&node=359533011&frombrowse=1&pricerange=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field-browse=359533011&rank=-product%5Fsite%5Flaunch%5Fdate&rh=tgt%5F12%3A00210%7B11%7B&page=1
I'd totally wear that with like dark blue jeans or a nice dress
I also like this one: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Vlasta-Mary-Ballet-Flats/dp/B0017JOL30/602-6401411-5642208?ie=UTF8&node=359533011&frombrowse=1&pricerange=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field-browse=359533011&rank=-product%5Fsite%5Flaunch%5Fdate&rh=tgt%5F12%3A00210%7B11%7B&page=1
and it also comes in purple: http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Vlasta-Patent-Ballet-Flats/dp/B0017NTD7K/qid=1222210917/ref=br_1_3/602-6401411-5642208?ie=UTF8&node=359533011&frombrowse=1&pricerange=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field-browse=359533011&rank=-product%5Fsite%5Flaunch%5Fdate&rh=tgt%5F12%3A00210%7B11%7B&page=2
And though I need another purple shoe like I need a hole in my head, this appeals too: http://www.target.com/Womens-Xhilaration-Sherlyn-Moccasins-Purple/dp/B00186SPUW/qid=1222209670/ref=br_1_15/602-6401411-5642208?ie=UTF8&node=359533011&frombrowse=1&pricerange=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field-browse=359533011&rank=-product%5Fsite%5Flaunch%5Fdate&rh=tgt%5F12%3A00210%7B11%7B&page=1
What they do still have is this darling number, which is so freaking cute that I'll forgive it for being a peep-toe:
http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Irene-Peep-Toe-Dress-Shoes/dp/B001872ICW/qid=1222210917/ref=br_1_4/602-6401411-5642208?ie=UTF8&node=359533011&frombrowse=1&pricerange=&index=tgt-mf-mv&field-browse=359533011&rank=-product%5Fsite%5Flaunch%5Fdate&rh=tgt%5F12%3A00210%7B11%7B&page=2

Dear Lane Bryant,
I like this necklace (http://www.lanebryant.com/pagebuilder/lane_bryant_product_page?pagesize=3&my_nav=apparel_accessories&cat=accessories_shoes&subcat=&item=1755206)!
I notice that you're calling it "Moreno" glass in the header, and "Moranoe" glass in the body of the entry. And I'm not sure, but I think you might actually mean "Murano," the glass that is made on the island of Murano, which is in Venice, Italy.
I know. I know that the people of the United States have come up with all kinds of appropriations for things Italian (Turin instead of Torino, Florence instead of Firenze, pizza with dry shredded cheese and all matter of toppings instead of bread and fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil and tomatoes...) But neither of those is the accepted spelling.
Unless, of course, by using multiple spellings that are close enough to the right one, you're leading us to believe that the glass beads are from Italy without explicitly lying. Perhaps they're only from Moreno's Glass (http://yellowpages.southpadreisland.com/Moreno--27s+Glass.196597.105370633.home.html) in Corpus Christi, TX, if they are now doing baubles instead of car windows.
Who am I to complain? Well, it wouldn't matter if I'd fallen in love with Murano a few years ago and tragically lost my carry-on containing the prettiest blue and green vase a girl could dream of. And it wouldn't matter if I produced websites for a living and embraced pedantry as a way of life. What matters is that I'm a girl who likes a fashion website to be run by people who know what they're doing, and who use the correct terminology as a nationally-known business ought to.
Kisses,
LSPE
PS: Stop it with the satin shirts. They don't look good on anyone for whom you're making clothes.

Well, would ya look at who the cat dragged in? How the hell are you, you old bat?
Old? you ya calling old?!? Just because my upper arms continues to wave 5 minutes after my hand stops waving is no reason to assume anything. :p
Hi Helen :)

Dear LSpoorwhateveryournameis.
Our beautiful necklace was named after Rita Moreno. Stop being so pedantic and buy the damn thing already.
Love, LB.

But I can't, because I just bought THIS little piece of heaven, which is called "Time Flies." That's a vintage Murano glass bird, and an antique vial filled with clockwork parts.

Nice bathing suit, but a lot of the pants look like they were stepped on by a camel.

That site reminds me that cute 40's clothes were designed for skinny people on war rations. (sigh)
Love everything there though!

Etsy, while looking for Murano glass. It was surprisingly inexpensive!

I've been collecting late Edwardian/teens clothing (hats, shoes, jewelry) and am plotting a couple of dresses too! Which pattern do you have? I'm going to be modifying the Laughing Moon Mercantile one for a tea gown, and I've got some old draft-them-yourself pattern books from the era as source for a nice walking suit. My inspiration has been more Out of Africa than Titanic, but love the outfits in both!

It's beautiful!
Listen, as a non-sewer (a great regret) can you get new patterns sort of based on classic gowns, like Paquin, Poiret or Worth? On a simpler scale, of course!

I like the design but wish it was more colorful. Though I suppose it was made for the time when everything was sepia, before the world turned color in the fifties.

The world turned color in the 1930's with 3 strip technicolor. Everything before was hand-tinted or 2 strip in the 1920's ;)

I don't know about copies of a specific designer, but what you can do is troll through the available patterns to find elements you like, and mash them up together.
There are companies that specialize in historical recreations of museum pieces (Folkwear, Past Patterns, etc.), although I've never tried any of those. I generally use the mainstream commercial patterns (because I can pick them up on sale for like $1/ea) and mess with those.

Lani has (I think she still has).
Though I can't tell if this one is authentic old or just recreation vintage. Lani's is authentic old.

I have this in black! But this is much better. I've used mine tons, both as carry-on and checked. It's pretty great, I'd buy it again. Of course, if I had it to do over, I'd get the prettiful one instead of mine, which resembles a rolling Darth Vader head.

I still have two Japan Airlines original bags. One I use, the other is still unused as of all these years.
*sigh*
I'm a sucker for this kind of thing.

Good to know, as I consider getting another carry-on. Then again, I probably should just wait until I truly get sick of my Samsonite.
