Oh no. Ugh. Oh, le sigh. Pink Floyd is one of my most fave musical groups.
Does anyone have any LSD I can use for a proper tribute?
(Actually, I was astonished to learn the members of the group didn't drop acid, but were big boozers when composing and performing all that psychedelic music. Will wonders never cease?)

One of my favorite groups- too sad.:(
When I saw the headline I was momentarily sad because I thought of Steven Wright.
Then I realized that it was Steven not Richard and that I had no idea who Richard Wright is. So then I was no longer sad.
Then I found out who Richard Wright is so now I know who he was but am still not sad because other than the songs on Guitar Hero I don't really know anything about Pink Floyd except that maybe that guy in the annoying Geico commercial was from Pink Floyd (but maybe The Who or something else, Lani usually has to tell me these music things several times before I remember).
So that recaps the emotional roller coaster I've been on since learning this news.

He was in Humble Pie, but was best known for his solo work in the 70's - particularly Frampton Comes Alive!
I am not sure how this affects your mood, but I wanted to clarify.
That is who I was thinking of. For some reason I had him associated with Pink Floyd.
My sadness is unaffected but I will henceforth not blame Pink Floyd (or possibly The Who) for an annoying Geico commercial.
So, you could say a little good has come from Richard Wright's death.

Gone to the great gig in the sky...
Sad. He brought joy and um... other interesting things with his musical talents.

I thought of Richard Wright (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Wright_(author)). But he's much deader.

We listened to Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here at work yesterday. A talented man who was often overlooked because of the strong personalities of the other members of the band. Sad to see him go.

It's an uncommonly beautiful morning. Rare clouds of beauty in our usually featurless skies.
It added so much depth to my experience of listening to Wish You Were Here on the way into work this morning. I teared up a bit during the title track.

A talented man who was often overlooked because of the strong personalities of the other members of the band. Sad to see him go.I heard last night (Jim Ladd) that he was actually fired from Pink Floyd during the recording of The Wall. He was later hired back by the band for the tour. The tour was so expensive that it lost money for the band. But since Richard was a contract musician (paid out of the pockets of the other band members), he was the only one who made money on that tour.
