Employee preview was last night - Oct 1.

Absolutely awesome, better than last year overall.

Considering that this was essentially a dress rehearsal, these people have got their scares together.

The Freddy maze has some crazy prosthetics/mechanical effects, The Jason maze flows a bit better this year, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a great maze last year, was good enough to send several people to the chicken exits last night :)

The Bill & Ted's Show, which is essentially Universal's answer to Knott's Hanging, started out great - really rockin'. Unfortunately, there was an injury to a cast member that stopped the show after only a few minutes, so we didn't get to see the whole show.

I'll probably write a bit more detailed report, once my brain congeals :D

I have to add that i had nightmares of Jason, Freddie and Leatherface coming after me. I've never had nightmares like that before. Last night left it's mark on me. Today i would hear keys and i would jump at the register in broad daylight. I was trying to stay awake and when i'd close my eyes i'd just see Jason there lol...

All i can say is i still hear those freakin chainsaws today lol ringing in my ears...lol alot of screaming last night from the moment i stepped foot in the front gates. This isn't for those who are fearful at all.

The mazes were just as good as last year with Jason maze seeming to really just flow alot more from room to room. I think that maze was the only maze Jason really didn't scare me but his stare in that mask was all it took. Leatherface yet again got me good with a few additions that i seemed to like. One of the Leatherface's was acting out cutting the face off of a victim and tried to put it on me. Scared me half to death.Freddie got me good at one point and even Matt. :) House of Horros even better than normal.

The Terror Tram is my ultimate favorite attraction hands down. Good enough to do it twice. The second time a "pilot" dressed Freddie jumped in front of me leaving Matt walking off without realizing i was trapped. He had me mesmerized by his "claws" and i just stood as still as i could until he finished. The maze little maze next to Psycho house really got me good. The chainsaw guy got me more than once each time we went thru.

Tons of monsters all over the park just waiting to get me which they did at various points throughout the night. Waiting in the dark and just jumping at innocent victims. I bought devil horns for $3 the cheapest thing ever and they were my "monster horns" making me a target lol...oh well. Tons of screaming.

One point we were walking the street down over near Terminator 3D and this monster comes behind us and i turn around to see him so i let go of Matt's hand i was holding and he came around the other side of Matt and scared him lol..but i got payback for that.

Bill and Ted's i wish had the whole show been done but it was techincal rehersal so anything happens they had to stop the show. In my opinion from what i saw was way better than the Hanging by far.

All in all this year's is even better than last years but that is just my opinion. Makes Knott's look like child's play but then again i can handle Knott's. Universal i am totally scared and forever will be.

Awww Lashbear i was fine well to the point that i would put my hands over my ears to drown out the chainsaw noise. I swear today i still have the chainsaw noise ringing thru my ears all day today. Plus i had Mr. Moose purse not that he helped me any. I know the Devil Horns when turned on was the "Monster Magnet" and they just came at me from all directions so it seemed. But i had FUN. Not as scared as Freddie as i was before now chainsaws and Jason totally different. I think it was the hearing the actual noise of a chainsaw just freaks me out in general so when there's a chainsaw around i just freak out.

I am tooo cheeken for all of that.

Lashie, my downunder rocker friend told me that they don't really do Halloween there. Really??? Is it something that you have to make an
event yourself?

I will never go to those haunted places. I don't even think I could do Knotts' Scary Farm.

The family went to the Haunted Hotel downtown in the Gaslamp District. I sat in the car. But, I have to say, that was pretty scary, too.

I commend you for doing it, mmg!!

Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0z9sIqNO4Y) one of the first things you'll see upon entering Halloween Horror Nights (and yes, people do shove money in their skirts) - the video is tv broadcast safe, but might not be safe for some workplaces

The most we get is Halloween-themed episodes of US TV shows shown on Telly, a scary movie or two on telly & at the movies (ghost ship is one that comes to mind) and a sparse scattering of Trick-Or-Treaters (very rare).

There was a group that had A (one) Maze at the old showgrounds for a couple of years, but that has disappeared. I haven't seen or heard of any haunts, amateur or professional.

I do get my satisfaction cooking hallowen fare such as kitty litter cake & witches fingers for work, but that's about it. Ny best friend (the neutralised Aussie who hails from Anaheim) has a birthday right on Halloween, so we sometimes have a scary birthday party for him. that's where I made my eyeball punch (and first did the cat-poop cake).

They don't look like a lot of people's worst nightmares to me..... (Right, Kevy, Nirvanaman, Bornieo, etc, etc, etc)
