I just found out about this.

http://www.gaydays2.com/html/schedule.html

We'll be busy. :( This is a very small gathering though, nowhere near as huge a deal as the big gay day in October. I think there may be those among us interested in the Single Rider Meet. What a cool idea!

Have fun!

I wonder if I should post this over on MiceChat ?

There seem to be plenty of horny homosexuals on there that love Disneyland.

(hopefully some of them might hook up with someone & stop PM'ing me)

Too late in the week for us to change our plans, but it sounds like fun! Of course, it always is!

I think there may be those among us interested in the Single Rider Meet.Ug, what a depressing thought. At least when I hang out at DL with LoT people I know I'm being eschewed because y'all are straight or attached. The last thing I need is to congregate with potentials and be snubbed. :(

The last thing I need is to congregate with potentials and be snubbed. :(Well listen to you, Negative Nancy! :p With that attitude, I wouldn't want to date you either. Don't tell me you've resigned yourself to failure forever! You're going to turn down meeting a group of single Disney fan gay guys? Nothing ventured, nothing gained, babe. Staying home guarantees failure - going gives you a chance, at least.

Here's some liquid courage  now get out there!

You'd be crazy not to go! I can only imagine how cool it would have been during my pre-married days if there were such a thing as a straight singles day at Disneyland. Nerd heaven!

Oh, I don't *think* so, buster. You were a fabulous date at the Haunt!! :snap: (Except of course when you kept sic-ing the monsters on me... ;))

You're charming, funny and sweet; when the right person shows up, he'll recognize it. So, move it, move it, move it! :)

Perhaps no one can feel like they measure up to the studliness of Wally Szczerbiak? Kind of like my in highschool when all the girls I was interested in had Scott Baio and Shawn Cassidy postered all over their rooms.....a bit intimidating.

BTW, who the hell plans and event for mos at 11:00am on a Saturday!?! Aren't all the boys tuckered out from a hard night of partying the night before...?

Okay, I went. Here's what happened:

I was up really late Friday night and forgot to set my alarm for the next morning. Fortunately, I woke up on my own (w/out an alarm) pretty much on time. However, I wound up leaving my place about 10 minutes after I had hoped to depart (10:10am rather than 10:00am).

Traffic on the 405 was crappy. Traffic on the 105, 710, 91, and 5 (that's the route I take) was pretty good though and I exited onto Disneyland Drive around 10:45am.

Most of the lines (including the one I was in) to get into Mickey & Friends were horribly long, stretching almost all the way back to the back of the structure itself. Conveniently, I was able to "sneak" over a few lanes into a much shorter line and only had to wait for a few cars to pass through the toll booth.

So far, so good. I had about 10 minutes to park and get on a tram and still be in NOS by 11:00am. I knew I was going to be a little late, but figured I'd be okay.

Unfortunately, the line to get from the booth to an actual parking slot took quite a long time. It took over 10 minutes just to drive up the ramp and circle around into an actual parking spot. And, of course, I was in the row farthest from the escalators/trams!

The lines to get on a tram were delightfully short (for a Saturday) and I got on after waiting for only one tram.

I passed through "security" (i.e., "hide" your weapons in your pockets) quickly and then saw the lines to get into the park stretched three quarters across the esplanade! But I used my secret passholder insider info and got in the line that actually feeds into two gates, thus cutting my wait time in half compared to the folks in other lines.

I actually entered the park around 11:25am. Obviously late, I hoped the reputation of tardiness attributed to SoCal homos would be in affect and there would still be some guys in NOS. But when I arrived there around 11:30am, I saw no red-shirts at all in front of Pirates. I hung around for about 10 minutes then admitted to myself that I had missed my opportunity. :(

I went on Buzz for the first time. I scored 136,200 (Level 4) initially and then 314,000 (Level 5) when I tried it later in the day. I took in a few other rides, had lunch at Carnation, headed over to Tower of Terror, and then went home.

I can't say that I had a bad time, but it would have bene nice to share the day with someone else.
