We renewed at SoCal, so we're busy AND blocked. So I voted for pancakes.

I voted weekend of the 21st. I like the Park really close to Christmas, But NeVer Go there The WeeK AftER!!!
The only date I'm definitely booked is Saturday, the 13th. So I'm open to any other date before Christmas.
Blocked out So-Calers should either pony up the $25 (maybe we could have a fund) ... or at least meet us for Happy Hour and Dinner at DTD!!

Ouch!! I thought it was... once you go passhole, you're always an assh0le. SoCal pass, pffft! ;)
BJ has a mere deluxe. Perhaps he's just using me for the merch discounts. ;)

Sorry, unless we upgrade to SoCal from SoCal Select, we're blocked out on weekends. And even then, we'd only be able to do a Sunday. And even then, we'd have to do it before we fly to Michigan (12/20.)
So, there isn't an option to vote for two, but there's a vague chance we could go the 7th or the 14th.

Quiet, you! This is all your fault for reviving last year's thread TODAY. :p
Well, it's only cause I was looking for the pic of GC and me on the Lilly Belle, which I can't find! It was a warm, fuzzy and nostalgic look back. I accept the blame.
But, dagdamnabbit, if I could come down for this, I would! Last year was freakin fun, you know it, you were there and I wore your space mtn glasses to prove it (incredible fun). I could do Jazz Kitchen again, especially because we outnumbered a certain other table in noise, food (I'm ripe for some bread pudding, a spoonful), photos and sheer fun and they knew it (not that we were competing or anything).

I'll be at the park for dinner already on the 6th. If it's a Sunday, I'll have to leave right after the dinner hour, although I am still planning to go on the 14th because it's closest to birthday button time.

Yes, that was a blast. I hope this year's is fun, too.
And, sigh, I think we should keep the Brad avatars forever ... because I'm already missing him. It might help to make me feel like he's still "here."

Let's see...
6th & 7th: I'll be putting up Christmas decorations and doing the tree.
13th: We have plans.
20th & 21st: I'll be baking my hiney off.
27th & 28th: Christmas recovery time and therapy drinking.
That leaves the 14th.

13th: Xmas party (speaking of which, if anyone local hasn't gotten an evite yet, PM me!)

I voted for 20/21, but Sunday the 14th would be more ideal for us, since we're planning on doing the all-night Yule log tradition* on the 20/21.

We may have a SoCal but even if we had a Premium we are already mega-blocked by family commitments. December = 4 birthdays, Hanukkah and Christmas Day, and oh yeah we're spending a day at the park with family too.
See you at NYE.

Yeah it's hard to find the time to be available. Luckily only family commitment is on Xmas Day for me. If i have Xmas Eve off i'm tempted to take the girls and head to the park before going to my parents lol... Like i previously posted if it is on a Sunday we're in if it is a Fri or Sat i'm out for sure because of work schedule.

Think this year is almost impossible unless it's on a Sunday for us. I mean we're free the whole month of Dec other than Xmas but it's my work schedule keeping us from attending any other day. Stinks i know.
CP well try to have fun regardless it's family. I'm probablly gonna go to the park more this next month than before and then i'll probablly be all Disney'd out by January.

Let's call it for the 14th then.
GD and CP, couldn't our group and your group meet up for one big, predetermined ride and for fireworks?
Even if not, it seems the 14th works best for most folks, and it's tied in the polls. I'm switching my vote to the 14th, so it's now in the lead!!

GD and CP, couldn't our group and your group meet up for one big, predetermined ride and for fireworks?Did you miss the "trying to get as much done as possible" part? Meeting up with the group is NOT conducive to efficient Disneylanding. It may turn out that we get to evening time and either we're exhausted or we've done most everything and we'll be able to slow down. But this visit is our anniversay gift to them and was already planned, we will be doing what they want to do, not scheduling around us.

ok, ok, sheesh. I wasn't suggesting scheduling anything around anyone else. No worries. Cell phones and being in the same theme park at the same time could make meeting up for one ride pretty easy. Perhaps your family would like to ride Space Mountain with Rainbow Glasses TM.
The invitation remains open, and is without any sort of obligation. Perhaps we could indeed meet up for fireworks, perhaps our groups would cross paths at some point and wish each other a Merry Christmas.
I wish you guys nothing but a fun and fullfilling day at Disneyland with your family. If we see each other for one thing or another - BONUS.
That's all.

I see my request was honored.
Sorry we never managed to meet up with anyone. We were on the go all day, and when we couldn't find folks at the usual fireworks spot, we just inserted ourselves into the crowd where we could and made due. With my diminutive sister, we probably wouldn't have done well at the spot you guys were at anyway, so we stuck to the corner we found by the rope. We did spot Bornieo as we made our way down Main Street for the exit after 'works. But we'd been at the park since opening and were d-o-n-e.
But other than that little snafu, we had an AMAZING day. We were there at opening, and left just after fireworks. We had almost everything important done at Disneyland by 2:00 and were able get to DCA for the things they hadn't done there, plus a bit more. My brother-in-law's count was 23 attractions total for the day. That's a major success.
We of course missed things here and there. And CP and I dropped the ball regarding Small World. We headed for the subs first thing in the morning, forgetting that Small World Holiday is the most absurd line in the park. But no biggie.
More importantly, it was just awesome to spend the day with my sister. We were both raised on that place, and you can bet that if she lived down here, she'd be as big a dork about it as I am. She hadn't been in at least 5 years, possibly more. And the last time we went to Disneyland together may have been 17 years ago (we took them to the DCA AP preview, but that ain't Disneyland). So it was just so great to share it once again.
I hope the LoT meet had it's own magic too. :)

I always forget what it's like to show up at opening. We hit ride after ride after ride. Using fastpass well helped too. We didn't wait in a sizable line until we hit TSMM and that was after lunch. Yay, Disneyland day. :)

Rained on me when I did the girl trip last December, it was in the middle of a downpour that we were accosted by the Dream Team. It was a fun visit, marred only by the sadness of the BE farewell party. Then I got back to the hotel to find my buddies in the bar with about 150 people from a construction company that was flown to Anaheim for their Xmas party and they all had to dress up as 80's rockers. Noisy, but fun and the free martini was good.

Chris went on a little adventure by himself last night. He decided he would hop the chain and take a trip through Pixie Hovel. We titled the event "Pervert in Pixiland". Soon after, the pixies started spitting at us (or it started raining - you decide) which led to the creation of new tongue twister:
Itsy Bitsy Asphyxiated Pixie Spittle
3 times fast:
Itsy Bitsy Asphyxiated Pixie Spittle

Luckily fireworks went off delayed of course but the rain held off thankfully til later on when we were heading to Small World Holiday. But really enjoyed the company even though i was wanting more rides.
