There are a bunch of new photos of the decorations that have been placed on the WDW castle for the 50th event. Photos are in the MousePlanet WDW Update here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/parkupdates/wdw/wdw050328.htm).
That huge mirror is still hideous.

I like the idea of having lots of characters playing on the castle, but covering them in gold ruins it for me.

It's funny to see it now after I got a "phone tour" from Matterhorn Fan the first time she saw it (I also "toured" the new noodle hous but we decided on their version of a Dole Whip.)
It's a bit gaudy for my tastes, but I am not a "gold" person.
I want to know why there's an apple on the mirror when neither are Snow White's castle?

I'm okay with the gilded characters - I think the scale of their castle lets them get away with that, and I think the flying pan is pretty cool. But the mirror is just a bit too clunky.

I want to know why there's an apple on the mirror when neither are Snow White's castle?Because it's the Magic Mirror from Snow White.

The mirror is supposedly going to cycle through showing all the different castles around the Disney parks after the 50th starts off. Right now it only shows Sleeping Beauty's castle.

It would be pretty cool if the mirror started to show Hans Conried videos.

But it's Cinderalla's castle. Then one shouldn't ask "why does the mirror have an apple on it" but "why is the mirror from Snow White on Cinderella's castle?" :p
Heehee, mousepod - would mojo you if I could.

Back on topic: I like the gilded LaVerne, Victor and Hugo! They were fun supporting characters and belong on a beautiful castle. Kudos to the person who remembered them.

"Is it...atomic?"
"Yes, VERY atomic!!!"
Anyway, yeah, Magic Mirror, dumb and ugly.

I'm embarassed to say it took me almost 5000 seconds to "get" that reference. And I've seen it several times, so it's not that blank stare thing.

you are all way to entoolekchewal for me. i will never fit in.I guess intellectuals watch flop 1950's live-action movies made by Dr. Seuss. It's the only way I'd qualify for that description, so I'll take it. :D

I'll bet mickeylumbo would enjoy Dr T - one day after the 50th when he actually gets a day off, someone should share it with him.
