Here are a few photos from my trip to the Obama Inauguration....

I made it out of the metro about 10:45am. No sign of the crowds yet.

A few blocks later I made it to the Mall Proper in the general vicinity of the Vietnam memorial, still not too bad.

So let's see how close I can get.... Oh ohh.

It took some time, but I managed to worm my way to where I wanted to be. Right in front of the Washington Monument looking down the mall.

From my vantage point I was able to see the swearing in (sort of)

All the way back to the Lincoln

The White House
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/Moonliner/P1000319.jpg
and the snipers
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/Moonliner/P1000292.jpg
And of course, lots of other people

I think this might be my favorite shot of the day. Moving trucks at the White House. Goodbye Georgie boy!
