I made it out of the metro about 10:45am. No sign of the crowds yet.

It took some time, but I managed to worm my way to where I wanted to be. Right in front of the Washington Monument looking down the mall.

:DI heard that while we were watching it, and the singing was especially loud when Bush took off in the helicopter. It's funny, I think that if I were there, I would probably have been singing it too, but as it was, it kind of looked low class. I guess I'm not above low class. ;)

Thanks for posting, and being there! Seeing the massive crowd on TV was breathtaking, and you helped make it so.
