Quite a lot - as you can see here (http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/27350111.html#cutid1)

At first I laughed and thought how funny. After about 10 if them I was thinking it was cute and clever. At about 30 I was less amused, and after 50 I wanted to stop looking, but could not.

I am curious, in a creeped-out sort of way, about the person who spent the time doing it.

1. I want to know what this image is from.
2. Why did I look at all of that?

It's from The Machinist. Bale dropped weight down to about 120 pounds or something like that for the role. I'm not sure if it was marketing but the story at the time was that he wanted to go down below 100 but that the insurance company wouldn't allow it.

Thanks! I didn't think he was in Trainspotting. ;)

Though that photo does appear to be a screen test for his anorexic Joker.

Another Kermit/Bale similarity - You should hear the audiotape of the time Kermit totally went ballistic on Beaker. "I'll kick your ass, Beaker!" he shouted. "You fvcked up my shot, you shaft-headed freak!" Oh, it was nasty. Later, Kermit apologized and told the press he was embarrassed, and had no hard feelings for the abused assistant. "Mii mii mii," asserted Beaker in a followup interview.
