The High Line (http://www.dillerscofidio.com/), a new 1.5 mile long public park built on an abandoned elevated railway stretching from the Meatpacking District to the Hudson Rail Yards in Manhattan. Through a strategy of agri-tecture - part agriculture, part architecture - the High Line surface is constructed of units of paving and planting with variant gradients from 100% paving to 100% soft, richly vegetated biotopes, encompassing a variety of microclimates - from Mossland to Tall Meadow, Wetland to Woodland Thicket, Mixed Perrenial Meadow to Young Woodland.

The High Line is being brought to you by the same people who brought you, er, rather brought the Swiss, the Blur Building (or Cloud Building), a hotel set inside an artificial cloud. The firm is Diller, Scofidio + Renfro. (http://www.charlierose.com/view/interview/10185)

They didn't. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biotope)Yeah, I figured it was real, I just hadn't heard it, so I didn't look it up to preserve the supposed integrity of my post.
