A friend just posted a torrent file for me. I don't have a program on my computer right now that can read torrents. What program do you guys recommend?

uTorrent (http://http://www.utorrent.com/) It's lightweight, no spyware, no ads. I've been using it for a while now.

I tried Azureus/Vuze before and the constant forced updates became annoying. It's also not as lightweight. It's trying too hard to be an all-in-one media center and it's not doing a good job of it.

Use uTorrent. Pirate Bill is right on the money!

I used uTorrent on Windows and now use Transmission on Mac. They are pretty similar in philosophy in that they do what's necessary and don't load down with lots of useless "features".
