Any old 80's "V" geeks out here besides me?
Check out the new promo teaser. (http://www.visitorsite.net/) OMG.
At first, I was fairly unhappy upon hearing about the remake. However, after seeing the previews....
I CAN'T WAIT!
I'm still indifferent at this point. I love the first have of V but then it went completely stupid even to my 10 year old self.
I suspect they'll ruin the good early stuff and improve on the bad later stuff. Of course, being a series means having to avoid providing any resolution so it could easily fall into being an alien soap opera (in which case I can just watch Alien Nation on DVD).

If this new series is anything like the sequel novel (http://www.kennethjohnson.us/V-cover.html) written by the series creator... well... it's going to SUCK. HARD.

I haven't finished the sequel novel yet. That bad, huh?
I know this remake is written by someone entirely different though.
Of all the letters in the alphabet to remake ... I don't get it.

When to comes to letters of the alphabet, I thought "V" was already the sequel or successor to "U" - - which you often see on old buildings where we now would expect a "V."
What is going to replace the "V"? Are we going back to "U"?

I remember the original series! Not sure what I think about a remake. I hope they do it right.

I once went to what I thought was going to be a V double feature. It turned out just to be a single screening of W. :(
But seriously, I'm looking forward to this incarnation of V. I thought the original was terrific. Granted, that was a much younger me, but I'll still be checking this one out.

From the previews, it looks pretty good.
The original miniseries was fantastic. The sequel miniseries had the worst deus ex machina ending I've ever seen...

I've always liked "f"s for "s"s.

Are you referring to the Long S (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_s)? (And what does it have to do with the "V" remake?)

Okay, I've seen the promo trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQoSCEMzJYE) and am pleased that the new series is not based on the sequel novel; instead it's (yet another) "reboot". I'll give it a shot this fall.

I'll try it in 24 months time when we eventually get it... :(

I like all the old scripts. The long "s" took me a bit to get used to, but oh, the writing!
And I doubt this has anything to do with V, though if they use good font/script I could be a lot more interested than I had been.
