Not Afraid

A few nights ago, I was on the front porch when a medium sized female raccoon joined me for a snack of donated dog food. She wasn't afraid of me and was only about 3 feet away from me. She looked young but had enlarged teats so I figured she must have had a recent litter.
Last night I was on the porch when 3 little fuzzy uncoordinated baby racoons came through the gate and started munching on spilled dog food. They were about the cutest little things I've ever seen. I knocked on the window to try and get Chris' attention but it only served to bring Thurston to the door and chase them away. I think I'm going to have to hang out on the porch with a camera from now on.
I think they went under the house because Thurston was scratching at the floors a bit later. He must've been made that there is a whole lot of cute competition.
