Disneyland presented its July 4th / Independence Day fireworks called "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" each night from July 2-5, 2009. Here is a link to my video, taken from the center of the Hub, right in between the Partners statue and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Enjoy!

Great video, thanks for posting. Too bad you were near some of the most annoying "woo!" people ever for the first few minutes. (If it's someone you know, sorry, but it doesn't make it less annoying ;) )

So did they do an expanded version on the actual 4th?

We liked the version on the 2nd, but it was sort of a rip in that, for the first time I'm aware of, they did not perform their regular fireworks first and do the Patriotic section as an add-on.

The version on the 2nd was cool, but definitely of add-on quality, and not a show in and of itself, imo.

Hehehe ... you're right, there were some very enthusiastic guests around me. Don't get me wrong -- I am glad the fireworks enhanced their Disney experience, but one stranger next to me was screaming while holding up her child and asking the young one: "Do you see that? ... Look at that one!" throughout most of the fireworks. She even repeatedly jumped up-and-down -- while still holding her child -- and bumped into me a couple times during the show.

I was hoping the music and boom of the fireworks would drown out some of their chatter and screams, but it does add a little to the atmosphere and shows the excitement of the crowd.

Overall, the fact that Disneyland presented versions of the July 4th fireworks over four nights probably helped reduce the crowds throughout the weekend. And it's much better than July 4, 2008 when the fireworks were halted half-way through the show due to high winds.
