Hi. Most of you have probably heard about the soon to open Disney Museum in the Presidio in San Francisco. Well tickets are now available for purchase. You have to reserve your time, so first come first served. I will be there on October 5th so if anyone wants to meet up, LMK and I will send details.
Here is a link for the site.

If I didn't live in Australia, a founding membership would be on the cards...

I will be there, too! I also understand there will be soft openings in September.
JB Kaufman told me that among other things, one of the 3 original multiplane cameras will be on site, the construction is happening now.
I'm pretty excited (and I just became a member)!

As soon as I can get hubby to pick dates...we'll be up there, but that might take a while. He did mention a mini vacation to No Cal in the Fall, I'll have to work on that one.

We're going on a little road trip in October, so we'll be there on the 18th, right at 10am. :D

Well, I can't wait to hear about it. I wasn't too impressed with the plans, so I'm certainly not going to plan a trip around it. I'd sure love to see it next time I happen to be up there, though.

Thankfully, it's timed perfectly with our previously planned trip, so it's a total win. :D
Although, from the details that I've seen, we would have driven up there just to see it. I got to attend a behind-the-scenes seminar about it on last year's cruise.

Um, will I be seeing you????
I better had, just sayin......Most likely. We'll be spending the weekend in San Jose, then just two days in SF. Grab a ticket for the museum and come join us! :)
Or, we can do dinner and such. I think we're crashing with a friend in SF for Monday night. Not sure yet. :)

Oooh, neat. Maybe we can convince Tom's family to go when we're up in SJ for Christmas.

Well, I will be happy to. I need to see what a ticket will cost me as a member! I'd love to go more than once, naturally.
Dinner, absolutely!

As a member I have the option of getting 4 tickets to either day of member previews, for free. Saturday September 26th or 27th.
I can order the tickets begining tomorrow.
Anyone want to join me?

I do not have the dates here, but JB Kaufman will be signing his new book at the Disney Museum in October (and I plan to be there).
South of the Border With Disney:
Walt Disney and the Good Neighbor Program, 1941-1948
1173
In case anyone would like a copy signed and are not local, I'll be happy to schlep for you. Gotta say, I'm not taken with the cover art, but I expect the inside will be glorious.
I'm sure he will also be signing South of my border, too in the Disneyland vicinity. In case he's not, the offer is open.

I had no problem getting it today, for tomorrow. AFAIK, Jim has his (you'd think as a member I could buy more than 1......to do that I have to up my membership to a family one) Excuse me, WTF is the membership perk if I can only buy 1 effin ticket? That and I now realize I did not use the member code to get in free....oh well, I guess they need my $20 ;-)
