Cocaine on Money: Drug Found on 90% of U.S. Bills (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/pf/42217793.html)

I'm glad to see that my quitting the stuff didn't bring the whole business down.

Why do you think we're such a high strung and violent society always after more money?

In AZ, some investigative reporter on some station did something meaningless, yet funny. They tested bills from 30 elected officials, including the Maricopa County Sheriff and the Governor, and 26 had coke on them.

Has this one cycled again? It's amusing, but I suspect you'd find that our money is similarly tainted by wheat flour.

I think the number I once saw was that one bill that had actually be in contact with cocaine and then entered the general money and went through a bank bill counter would then taint more than a thousand other bills. And that the cocaine contamination on these bills is measured in the millionths of a gram.

I'm guessing all of that is caveated in the actual paper, but when it hits newspapers it is always with the implication that pretty much all of our paper money has at some point had one end stuck up somebody's nose.

Let me know when the bills are similarly tainted with LSD, since it takes only microscopic amounts to be psychenautically effective.

I'll cut the greenbacks into happy little blotter squares. :)

Keep me apprised. Thanks.

Just remember that when you are putting the bill parts on your tongue you're probably getting an equal amount of fecal matter as drug.

MP's post sent me on a daydreaming romp on snopes.com....

While I never actually saw her, I still have very fond memories of "The Pink Lady (http://www.snopes.com/autos/hazards/pinklady.asp)" in Malibu Canyon.

Does anything at all remain of her? A discolored splotch perhaps?

Link is NSFW if you are banned from fine art drawings of the human figure.

I'm pretty sure she was quite thoroughly eradicated by the powers that be.

No. As a matter of fact all they did was paint over her with a brown paint.

A little Google work has shown that small parts of her are in fact still visible or at least they were not very long ago.
