The Drawing this Friday is for:
$207,000,000
I think I'll host a private celebration at the Haunted Mansion when I win.
And rent out the entire top floor of the Grand Californian for a place to stay.

I'd have to drive to the gas station, get out of my car, stand in line at the register, go back to my car, and drive home. When you break down the work involved in acquiring a ticket, $207 million doesn't seem like all that much.
Especially since I'll be left with only $125k after Socialist Boy Obama gets done taxing my winnings.

Excellent! One less chance that I'll have to split my winnings with someone else.
Thanks!

Huh. I wonder what the reaction to a few thousand "Nebulatastic" balloons floating off into the night sky would be..... :D

You're not supposed to let them go!!!!! They are supposed to go in a dark room so we can all stare at them. SuperK and I already figured it out. We just need the financing. ;)

Err, what? Ohhh! You mean let other people into my private party at the haunted mansion. Yeah, I guess that could work.

I see. A dark room you say? In that case I will have to inquire as to the cost of filling Space Mountain with them.
If we combine that with ISM's glasses, things could get interesting.

OMG they are amazing with his glasses. So are the fireworks. Fill Space Mtn then ride it. I think I would die a little of the sheer awesomeness of it.

I'm in the office pool.
Me, too.
I especially like the office football pools, because I always win them.
I'd say more, but I have to take this call from a telemarketer.

I'm watching the street as I type. Granted, it is at least 70 feet below me (and most of what I can see while typing is nearly a block away and 70 feet below me). But I'm ready to pounce.

Good thing too, since I forgot to buy a ticket.
Next drawing is Friday?
Wait. The internet says drawing is Tues and Fri http://www.megamillions.com/numbers/. Now I'm confused.

Okay, I got myself all confused.
I bought into the office pool on Tuesday, I didn't realize that by the time Moonie posted this yesterday I had already lost.
Carry on then.
Meanwhile, I can't wait for the day that the Lost numbers are drawn. Imagine the range of emotions when tens if not hundreds of thousands of people experience the thrill of winning only to become keenly aware that, oops, they have to split the prize with tens if not hundreds of thousands of other twits.

I joke about it, but won't actually pick them. Yes, it's a TV show, but it would be a little too spooky for me, if they were drawn and I had them. Well that and having to split the prize that many ways.
That's good because it was a bad week for finding lottery tickets on the ground.

You can all stop worrying about whether you have the winning ticket: I was the winner.
But after seeing the way many lottery winners' lives turned out, I decided to donate my ticket to charity - the thought of having all that money was just too much pressure.

Big changes in the Powerball Lottery (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=41&sid=2439784).
The ticket price is doubling to $2 and the chance of winning is increasing. The powerball will be from 1 to 35 rather than 1 to 39. Which should result in more frequent but smaller payouts.
Personally, if I gave a rats ass about the odds I wouldn't be playing the lottery in the first place. I like the ridiculous $200,000,000+ jackpots. At $1 it's an impulse buy. At $2? Forget about it.
I guess I'll have to go to my fall back retirement plan of consistent 401(k) investing combined with no load mutual funds and real estate. Pooh.

I the spirit of friendship, love and sharing I'd like to say how special all of my California friends are. Especially any of you that might happen to live near or purchase gas in Milpitas.
I live near Milpitas. I do not buy lottery tickets.
So, while I haven't checked yet, I'm pretty sure I didn't win.

I wonder if people are going through the trash cans, and searching the area in/around the gas station just in case.....
