Oh yes, I'm in. I'd drag my roomie along, but I don't think he (or most anyone else I know) goes out on a school nite.

We happen to be leaving the next day for a weekend getaway. This would be an EXCELLENT way to begin that.

As much as I would love to commit, I have this sickening feeling that the last night before going on vacation will be a long one and will prevent me from committing.

General - I figured with more people going, I didn't want to end up in separate places and I'm not sure what VIP gets you besides a seat in the balcony, which seems to make you more observer than participant.

I work until 6. I feel guilty. I'm leaving for 4 days starting Friday and told the owner that we had tickets to LD. I forgot that it is Artwalk night! Its ok, I'm working my ass off right about now.

That was radtacular! Rope trick that almost hit Jen and Co in the face with the rope was the hottest acrobatic act I'd ever seen .... until the same absolutely beautiful man was featured in the Moon duet, which was the hotter than than the next ten hot acrobatic acts I've ever seen.

Besides that, and the vapors as a result, Lucent Dossier was fantabulous and groovemazing.

Happy Happy Joy Joy Love Love. I LOVE these people. And, ending the night with dancing on the stage with the group followed by a foot massage from Shrine was pure bliss.

It was so great. They re-used much of the music and choreography (adapted for the different venue) that they used at Coachella this year. When I heard the first couple bars of the song that we learned that dance for at Coachella, I immediately felt my stomach lurch in the same nervousness I felt there!

I wish there were a "download all photos" link. I'm going to have to save most of them. Great photography.

Was this the guy shoving us out of the way? Seems almost worth it ;)

innerSpaceman
10-15-2009, 09:39 AM
Yes, but he didn't get to "shove" me during the third act. I didn't melt out of his way like the 2nd act people did ... so he was compelled to - gasp - ask politely if he could squeeze in next to me. Ask nice and ye shall receive, so I let him (but, God Forbid he and the other photog could have stayed in their coveted spots during the DJ intermissions.)

Anyway, since he was polite and I kindly let him squeeze in next to me, I took the liberty of using a handful of his shots in my Friends-Only El Jay entry. Used without permission, but duly credited to his web site full of rad Lucent photos.

Thanks for the links, NA! So odd to see someone's pro-qualilty photos shot from pretty much our exact point of view. :D

Isn't it? I plan on stealing all of them as soon as I get home. As it was it was like having a private re-creation in my hotel room.
