Me wanna do this---

So, how do I convince my wife, who does not even like the one night trip to LA aboard the Coast Starlight, to go?

That's looks so cool - except for those beds & benches. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable on a long journey in the room (as opposed to the train to Seattle which is most comfortable.) But, what an adventure!

NA took the words right out of my head -- What an adventure! That would be sooooo awesomel. I'm not sure how to convince your wife of it, though. Some folks love to travel, others folks like to turn their homes into their own personal Taj Mahal.

I was just telling my sister yesterday that when I get old I would like to sell off most of my personal belongings. I would then keep a very modest place as my home base so I could travel the world.

I would too except my wife is one of those who would rather turn the home into a Palace of accumulation instead of shedding all and seeing the World....oh well, still have 9 more years before son is off to College..Plenty of time to change her mind :D

I would like to have a Palace of Accumulation to come home to on my breaks from travelling the world. That's not too much to ask for, right?

This family (http://www.sla.com/worldtrip/index.htm) included both Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneyland in their around the world trip(hey, where's the envy smile?).
