For some reason, everyone we know locally that would be willing to babysit has other plans for that evening...

Don't they have babysitting at the hotel?

I wish I knew some sweet old lady who could sit with Theo in the Quiet Room across the hall when he tires of the party scene ... but then I realized, I'm just about the oldest person I know.

Still - Theo is more than welcome until he tires of the party scene. I know another couple is bringing their 2-point-something year old until she tires of the party. So it's not like it's a zero-kid-tolerance zone. (It also won't be quite as child-prohibitive as Disneyland Birthday parties of yesteryear, as there won't be several people on acid and there won't be a nitrous oxide tank in the middle of the room ... so by those standards, this party will be practically kid-friendly!)
;)

Party doesn't start until well after his bed time, he'll have tired of the party scene before there's a scene to tire of. Especially when taking into account that he'll be getting his 6 month shots that morning,

My sister is getting married Friday evening and we have a big show on Saturday, so I'm afraid I'm out. :(
