When I was a little kid, I was totally into Billy Ray Cyrus. (Achy Breaky Heart baby!) Well he for some odd reason decided to have a concert in my town. My dad was on the sheriff's reserve (volunteer community service type organization) and was doing security, so after the concert I got to meet Billy and I got his autograph. It was really cool actually being able to meet my favorite celebrity at the time.

My first concert- 1988. Poison. Look What The Cat Dragged In. We drove an hour and a half to Billings Montana.
I feel dirty. Of course, now I work concerts and have seen cool groups. Berlin played my theater; the singer climbed the speaker stacks and we were hoping they would hold still; they weren't tied down or attached in any way. Billy Idol (does he still count as cool??) played. He ran waaaaay too loud. Tom Jones has horrible things thrown on stage when he plays. Just bras and panties, but they *do* things to them, and it's enough to give a girl nightmares, y'know? **hugs** -kerry |
My first concert was Maynard Fergusson. I was in high school at the time (in other words, not very long ago:D.) Other than that, most of the concerts I have attended were orchestral. Although, I did get to see Al Hirt. Several years ago I got to play tenor sax in a Coaster's concert up in Georgia.

My very first concert was the Beatles at Dodger Stadium in 1966. I wish I could say I was just a baby at the time...

My first concert was a Beach Boys show supporting their 15 Big Ones album. '75 maybe? Great show except Brian Wilson was not in his best shape and had to be led around the stage and reminded of what he was doing. |

But, The Beatles. That's just...neat. |
They played for exactly 30 minutes, 10 whole songs. We were screaming our brains out and couldn't hear a thing. It was heaven..

ok.. I'm new here and eager to post.
1976 (maybe 1977) - Mom and Dad take the family to an outdoor concert in New Jersey featuring headliners: The Captain & Tennille. (If you're over 30, please don't hold it against me; if you're under 30, they were cooler than KISS) 1978 - My first show without the folks. I'm in eighth grade, and my cousin (a 10th grader) has a classmate who's a ticket scalper. He includes me in a group of a half dozen 10th graders who go to Madison Square Garden to see: Rod Stewart. It took me until late 1980 to start hanging around in the Village at places like the Mudd Club and CBGB. Long story short, I got really lucky. Because given my start, it could have turned out very very ugly. ...And I've told nothing but the truth. SYRS, Jesse |
First Concert: Clash of the Titans in '90 with Anthrax, Megadeath, and Slayer. Alice in Chains was the opener. That show totally rocked, dude!!
