A.N.T.S.!!!!!!!!

The weirdest FP was The Boomtown Rats "Dun Laoghaire"
- my favorite (and now rattling through my head) was Marc Almond and Throbbing Gristle doing "Discipline"...

ph yes! Talk about a strange pairing!

Throbbong Gristle was the ONLY concert I ever left with ha headache - and I saw the Germs and many other noisey other bands.

Don't you just love it when you have songs stuck in your head that aren't suitable for sharing with the general public? (Yes, it's even worse than Detachable Penis.) My husband was muttering something about the Revolting Cocks, which means my brain went immediately to a song by Sweaty Nipples, thanks to a mix tape one of my ex boyfriends used to play over and over and over. "It thrills my heart to see you walking toward it." That's about all I can say. Out! Out! Purify my memories!

The Rotters - Sit on my Face Stevie Nicks
Hmmm, there's one bit of vinyl that shall never make it to DVD...
I must rip my singles.

Believe it or not, the song was released on CD on both a Rotters Comp a few years ago as well as a punk comp called "Cupid's Revenge". Buy it on Amazon for $2. The kids today will never appreciate the classics from our era.

My recent purchase of Hôtel Costes Sept has quite wonderfully forced Trinity FM's version of "Sounds of Silence" into my brain. And WOW... I'm totally taken with this new version... It's the same song, but different, and new, and special...

I've been mixing (in my mind) the Simon & Garfunkle version and Trinity FM's since I listened to it.. Not bad..

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence

What is it with me & remixes these last few months?

During my sick induced nap, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers was on TCM. So now...I'm singing in my stuffed up head..."Going Courting. Going Courting......"

Save me!

I heard something yesterday that reminded me of Ry Cooders steel guitar soundtrack from the Movie Paris Texas - hauntingly beautiful, great for contemplative moments. Need to dig out the real thing and see how it matches the one in my head.
