Not Afraid 02-05-2008 11:40 AM

I got slammed with work but I'm going to still try to make it - for part of the festivities at least.

BTW, Steve, I'd love to see the Orphanage again. I'd love to make the rest of the gang watch it with us, too.

OK, well ... I have a screener, so no need to wait until it's officially out on DVD.

(Hahaha, i'd love to BRING a DVD to casa de mousepod for a screening, the casa with over 10 zillion DVDs in residence.)

I'm gonna make it this Saturday, whee!!!! Heather might have to hold me though for the scary parts. :)

flippyshark 02-05-2008 02:32 PM

Is, man, is! This Saturday!!! Come by, and bring a nibble! ;)

flippyshark 02-05-2008 02:45 PM

Oh, this is still future tense. Cool. Wish I lived on your coast. (Though, if it' something I have in my own collection, I suppose I could simul-watch it.) Have a great time, all.

Gemini Cricket 02-05-2008 10:19 PM

I'm in. If there's room left.
:)

Gemini Cricket 02-10-2008 12:07 PM

Great films.
Wonderful night.
Thanks, y'all!
:)

And, can I just add:

2009 remake of Don't Look Now
Nooooooooooooo!
Kiefer and Robin Wright Penn?
Spoiler:
and Zelda Rubenstein?

LSPoorEeyorick 02-10-2008 12:11 PM

Heh, holy crap, GC, I was just searching for this thread in order to post exactly the same link, followed by exactly the same extended "nooooo...." - and between the time I typed in the search and results were returned, you'd aleady said it all for me.

I finished the BFI book; I'm still very much appreciating the film this morning.

Gemini Cricket 02-10-2008 12:17 PM

Great minds... :)

I started looking up all of the books in the BFI series. Very interesting, indeed.

Oh and I don't know who is in the cast for the remake. Those were guesses.
