Saw Saul Williams tonight. He was AMAZING! Not only his poetry but his inspirational and progressive ideas. (He's an Obama fan, btw, for our political folk.)

Also, my poem "Bonanza" is nominated for an English department award. I know it's only a community college and all, and nominated isn't won (actually I don't even care if I win...for real), but I was pretty psyched about it.

Congratulations! For me, the poems I'm most proud of are the ones I've received money for. Why write poetry otherwise?

Have we seen the poem "Bonanza"? It sounds like a poem my father would have liked. He would have also liked poems called "Matlock" and "Mannix."

It's 3" feet across and I love it.

It was a bit awkward carrying across the street and into work, CP is picking me up after work and I don't have my car with me. Figures I'd find something like this.
