When's the next time you guys are coming down?

As a matter of fact, we'll be down for a short visit next month. The weekend after 4th of July.

I suppose I should have given more notice but our plans were up in the air as recently as two weeks ago. In the end, Disneyland won out.....as it always does.

No worries ;) Have bunches of fun, give bigs hugs to everybody from me... and the sidecars are on you this time.

SacTown Chronic 06-13-2007 07:25 AM

What, the calendar already told you no? Get a second opinion.

Scrooge McSam 06-13-2007 07:26 AM

Ahem... who said I already stopped looking?

SacTown Chronic 06-13-2007 07:30 AM

Sorry. I thought the "give big hugs to everybody from me" line was a clue.

Here, have a sidecar to get you in a California frame of mind.

My sister has one - or rather has a cat named Sancho. So the neighbors are amused when she calls for him. Her husband, not so much - but probably because he was her Sancho in her first marriage.

She said (again) that I needed to not date or anything until Nickolas was grown and out of the house. She heard this tidbit from Dr Laura, so it MUST be gospel.

I don't know what I have more of a problem with, that she believes everything Dr Laura says or that I am to have no social life for the next 8 years.

It is important for boys to have a strong, positive male role model. But that doesn't mean you need to run out and "find yourself a man", nor does it mean that casual dates need to be introduced if you are never going to see them again. If and/or when you are in a place where you would like to date, go for it. If you aren't, don't worry about it right now. Priorities 1 and 2 are Kid and you.

And Dr. Laura ranks up there with Oprah in terms of cultability.
