They released the pig from the arena?

And off he goes...

We watched the pig fly away through most of the break. I believe what I said was "I'm going to just lie here and watch the pig fly".

As I suspected, they didn't just let him float free into the ether. You can clearly see the lines tethering him to the ground.

Freakin' awesome!

There were lines tethering him as he circled the audience, however the let him go afterwards. He sailed away into pig heaven - a place where there is no bacon.
