Not Afraid's the best person to visit the Ahwanee with ... but I hope you will come with me someday to see the more hidden wonders of the Valley that take a little trekking to - - - while I can still trek (which, judging by how my feet feel today, won't be too long).

The good news is that GC is FIRMLY bonded with my Brother and SIL and is welcome any time to visit. It is an easy day trip to Yosemite Valley from their home and many a hike awaits. If we were not on a mission to spend time with my ailing brother, I would've introduced GC to the wonders of the Mist Trail or taken him to Glacier Point (sadly, my favorite Sierra Point hike in Yosemite is no longer open). However, I was intent on seeing for myself if my brother was going to survive this ordeal.

Of course, the real treat in visiting my bro is the trips not to Nature's Disneyland, but to the little-know local spots that are magnificiently impressive and wondrously isolated.

Me too! Our little river adventure was one of the big highlights of the trip.

How can anyone NOT fall in love with GC? The man is the most lovable person I know!

If that's true, then how come Eric Bana never returns any of my phone calls?
:D

That's very nice of you, KB. :)

I understand now what Cherny meant when he said that being back after a trip made him feel weird. Like being on the vacation was starting to feel more normal than the 'real world'.
I feel so odd being back. I was beginning to really love the woods, the stars and that river. I even miss my teeny tiny tent.

I also must mention that I lost my voice on the last day. I am voiceless. I got sick.
:)

Because I made him talk the whole way home. ;)

Does anyone have a file sharing "thing" ? I know highly technical term.

Anywhere that everyone could send their indiviual pics, so everyone could get a complete set, instead of downloading onesie twosies?

Ghoulish Delight 06-10-2008 02:27 PM

Picasa allows you to download whole sets at a time, but I haven't played with it.
