Today, I had another entry for my personal polak chronicles. The exterminator came to my office to spritz the outside foliage. When he walked by my window, he startled me and I exclaimed to my co-worker, "the terminator is outside & he scared me!"
Terminator?? WTF? I'm not even sure where that came from. :( |
I just made baked CornDogs. Yes, baked. Yum. I'm a happy bear.
Recipe to follow if enough people want. |
Here's mine:
1. Go to grocery store. 2. Buy box of Foster Farms corn dogs. 3. Return home. 4. Preheat oven. 5. Lay out two corn dogs on rack in oven. 6. Let bake for as long as box says. 7. Remove from oven. 8. Apply a bit of mustard. 9. Eat. 10. Realize these are the same corn dogs they sell already hot at the AM/PM you passed on way to grocery store and next time you'll just cut out the middle man. |
Ooh, I like corndogs. You know, I haven't been to a Hot Dog On A Stick in like, 6 forevers. Are they still around? I dug their lemonade!

The latest fad that I'm once again late to the party with is soft pretzels. I have never been a fan. But recently I've been enjoying Wetzels Pretzel Bits. Yum.

But, both CP and I were struck by the pessimistic tone of responses. All three responses were of the nature of, "We're just waiting for death to come." It just seemed unnecessarily...defeatist. My response? Screw easy. Easy is boring. |
Hmm...
I do thank everyone here for the support that I do get. I think my question was more a moment of rhetorical flabberghastery. (That might be my new favorite made up word). While things are more frustrating as of late, more than the recommended daily allowance, I'm actually just fine. That was me just trying to poke fun at myself, my situation and life in general. Easy is boring - that I agree with. What's hard is watching stuff spin out of control and feeling like I have little hope to affect the outcomes. My lesson so far this year this year, an extension of lessons learned past, is to focus on what I have an impact on, and to take care of myself in the process. It's never easy, and I suspect that's the plight of many on this board. On the upside, things are looking up (go figure... on the upside things might actually be looking up... this is where I laugh at myself), and I'm continually reminded how fortunate I really am - I have love in all facets - something that's hard to find these days. That and I still have this mental image of a champagne cork launching 30 feet into the air. That's still enough to make me smile. :D |
