So I'm sitting here watching the Miss USA pagent because my brain can't take any actual content at the moment. Now, I'm sure they're all lovely ladies in real life, but they way they're all primped and styled -- they are now some of the most homely women I've ever seen on teevee. All with ginormous foreheads. What is this? 1405?

And every single one of the evening gowns belongs on the fugly page. Every time another girl came out I'd think THAT is the ugliest gown! And then the next would come out and THAT would be the ugliest dress. I think my favorite gown had to be the one worn by Miss Pennsylvania USA -- I think she got confused about whether it was swim suit or evening gown!

And then I was listening to the obligatory justification for the swimsuit round. Oh yes, it's all about poise, self-confidence, and athleticism. Okay, then why not just send them out nekked? Dump the pasties and cocktail napkin and let's see how "athletic" they are. If it was good enough for classical sculpture it should be good enough for primetime, no?

Obviously I'm up past my bedtime....

I can't believe that in a post-Paris Hilton world that we are trying to justify the swimsuit portion.

So where the hell is a halfway decent Mr. America competition that isn't about nasty bodybuilding? How about just "Cutest Guy"? I don't want some waxed and bronzed behemoth, I want sweet eyes and a winning smile. And no speedos, just the nice 'n short swim trunks, please.

Today I'm thinking over and over "you had caffeine yesterday, if you have it today you'll fvck yourself up." A friend mentioned that I should just drink less, but how do you throw out half a cup of perfectly good tea or coffee? I guess I should hunt down some half-caf, since I feel my patience today running on fumes. These loud kids are driving me nuts.

So I'm committed to staying at work until 7 tonight to catch up on some things and already I feel like breaking up with my work date. But I will not. I will stick through this. I will catch up. And while I'm waiting to catch up, I will break here. For a mo', at least.

What?!?

With all the hot guys you got on this board? Like, me.

And, well, me.

And if you prefer a man in uniform, you've got Commodore Swank! Toot toot!

So... is it bad for me to want every person wearing a "Raiders Nation" shirt to spontaneously combust?
