80. All this over 80 degrees and no discernible humidity. What a bunch of passive aggressive weenies. I can't wait to move.

Why don't you just close the windows?

I'm super hungry. I've been trying to hold out until noon but I think it's close enough.

Aaargh!

I've owned my car for 3 years. I have now had 3 nails puncture the left rear tire.

The first one I got patched, no problem. They took it off the wheel the second time found a crack running down the middle of the inside of the rubber. Time to replace the tires.

This time, even though the tires are less than a year old, the nail decided to puncture it right up next to the sidewall. Not a good idea to try a patch-job with a hole there, so I get to buy a new tire. I'm running on a donut spare until tomorrow after work when I can get in and drop $100. Joy.

Why the eff is my left rear tire a nail-magnet?!

I always buy the $20 road hazard insurance. Then the tire place replaces it and I don't worry about anything.

I'm sorry your tire is a nail-magnet.

Between where I work and my house is construction zone centeral. I've gotten tons of flats. I get my tires at firestone and they either repair or replace them under warranty. It's been totally worth it.

ditto for Discount Tire.

however I might suggest getting a set of BFG's. awesome puncture resistance.

I totally agree. It's called America's Tire up here, I've had really good luck with them.

Hmm, I should dig out the paperwork on the new set, see if I had road hazard coverage on 'em.

I love Americas Tire. I had a nail in my tire, the guy took a look at it and said let's see if it's leaking. If it's not bring it back when you have more time (I was in a hurry). No leaks and they checked the pressure of all the tires. I brought it back and the guy pulled it out. It was a little bigger than a thumb tack. No leaks. No new tire. I really like their honesty.

Which one do you go to? The one in Westminster is like that, the customer service has always been impressive. (I wonder if it's all stores, or just some stores in particular)
