So I guess it's weird that we played Manson, Kenny Chesney, Orgy, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, and Rob Zombie last night on the jukebox?

Can I just say that I was probably the only one that was hesitant for RATM to get back together. I've met them all a number of times, and let's just say I had my reasons. :)

Awww, I loved Roy Orbison!

I so wanted to be there today, but there was just no way I could get out of work. :(

Sometimes the simple cookies are the best. I like shortbread cookies also.

Who needs fudge-covered Oreos anyway?? ;)

I like Animal Crackers.

Not imitation ones, but the genuine Barnum's Animal Crackers in the little circus animals box with the little thread handle on it.

That and some cold milk and I am a happy camper.

I went online to buy RATM tickets for a show in San Francisco and found out the tour is a big rap festival. Ugh, i hate rubbing elbows with rap fans.

Those people are so rude.

Only if you rub their elbows. They're quite protective of their elbows, rap fans.

Hehehehe.... we had a few hundred very peeved rap fans at the last "concert" held at my theater. None of the performers showed up. The promoter was so green it was painful. He dragged in a couple local acts to try and stall for time, but it was not happening. Show was supposed to start by 7 or 8, depending who you talked to, but by 9:15 (with literally zero performers from the list showing up) my boss said he was going to shut everything down by 10:30 if there was still nobody there. He notified the PD (who was on scene babysitting) to raise up one notch. When we officially shut down, they were in riot gear (which is just a big face shield it seems). But it sounds more impressive to say riot gear. Some of them were cool with it, some looked forward to some action, and some of them were pissed. They had looked forward to a night of babysitting and now they have to work. ;)

10:25- promoter's still claiming his band is on the way, they got pulled over by PD and will be here in a minute. Um, no.

This was the evening that some tweeker talked his way backstage (promoter told us to give him a pass) and stole money from the promoter and possibly some tickets for the orchestra pit.

The followup to the story is that the promoter wrote $15,000 of bad checks that night, including one to the PD for being there. His house has been ransacked twice, and the guy's brother thinks we gave out his address.

It was kind of funny for us, but sad for the promoter.
