Aw Betty, that really stinks. This is exactly the reason I have extra taken out each pay period, just so I don't have this issue. I know when I used to moonlight, it kicked me up a tax bracket and I always had to pay the State and could never get ahead. Those that are wiser in finances than me tell me I should neither give the State nor the Feds a tax free loan of my money, but it amounts to not a lot and I sleep better knowing (hopefully) I won't owe at the end of the tax season.

Anyway, your situation really stinks, my sympathies! :(
