Small vent ahead:
I am so glad today is over. I was busier today than I had been all week. At 4:25 I get a request from someone that the fax machines were broken. Said person first emailed the incorrect person (who emailed tech support) and had her manager call after she deemed that 25 minutes without a response is unacceptable (we have an hour to reply). I explained to the manager I was super slammed but would look at it before I left. Manager was OK with that answer and told her so. I went to look at it, and talk to "everyone else" who was having issues - no one else was having issues, only her; and as her history goes, she tries to blame IT when she screws up. So, I let her manager know that everything is working, no one else that she claimed was having trouble is having trouble. Manager is happy with the resolution. Said person decides to start arguing with me at 4:58 about it. Directed her to her manager.
At 4:55 someone decides to ask me to do something that IT doesn't do to do because someone else wasn't trained properly. Directed them to follow procedure to fix the issue. They started arguing with me about it. Directed them to their manager.
Note to everyone: Don't send critical issues to IT at 5 minutes to 5 after you've been sitting on them all day. A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. Especially when it's not our issue to fix to begin with.
There is no unapproved OT and I was already on 30 minutes. No way to fix the issues so I left. I'm sure I'll have nasty grams on Monday.
ETA: lest I come across as an insensitive bitch, had these issues been IT issues I would have fixed them.
