Spend that time deciding what you want from your change (eg: what you want different in your life). Write down your goals using positive language (eg: "I want to ___" instead of "I want to not ____"). Writing goals down commits you to them mentally.
I haven't done that a lot in my life, but the goals I've written down usually came to pass: I went on foreign exchange to England, I've worked for Disneyland, I graduated USC. The hardest part about making your life the way you want it is when you don't know what you want. You can't aim at a vague idea, so pick something specific, and even if you miss the mark a bit, you'll be a lot closer than if you never had a mark at all. |
I think it depends on why you're unhappy with things, and that is the hardest thing for many people to figure out. If you don't know what it is, you don't know if you're just taking it with you.

I also want to be clear that I said that as a general thing, not for Prudence specifically. Her last post it just sounds like a case of "senioritis" or "get on it with it already."
That's normal (at least in my experience) for any time there is a big change looming. |
SO funny... I used to work with this lady who swore she'd moon the train when she turned 60. As I understand it... she did!

Prudence must moon the train
