It sucks, I have a mess of stuff to do at home. It has been uber-quiet here at work and all of my stuff is caught up. But, then, if I was home I would find a way to do nothing at all and ignore the stuff I need to do.

Any 'weather' to speak of up your ways, Capt Jack, Ponine, katie sue?? Any other San Diegans?

I am down by the border and it was a bit muggy but not much else. Right now it isn't sunny but not gray either.

I actually went for a walk at 9:30 a.m. which on a normal summer day would have killed me.

I am home, MG, and not getting much done myself. Getting ready to take the boys up to the theater to see Potter. Soooo much to do. Isn't there another person to tend to this stuff?

It's about the same here in the Rancho Santa Fe/Del Mar area. Kinda muggy not totally clear but not cloudy either.

We just found out that, in addition to (and probably because of) Loose Ligament syndrome, Tori also has scoliosis. She had x-rays today and is being referred to an Orthopedic specialist and a scoliosis phys therapy group.

It's just one frigging thing after another, poor kid.:(

I'll have to look up if aardvarks are legal. I kind of doubt it- California won't even let me have a hedgehog, d'ya think they'd let me have an aardvark? They're also kind of big.

All the cool pets are illegal. ::sigh::

Why do gas stations think that we want (or will tolerate) loud stuff coming from speakers right on the pump?

First all the Hess stations start playing crappy pop music from speakers you have to stand a foot away from (loud enough that inside the car, with the doors shut, someone I'm talking to on the cell phone can identify the song). Now BP plays a commercial as soon as you start pumping gas.

Loudly. Do they think we're all deaf?

Hopefully it'll turn out not to be anything too bad. I have a friend who has scoliosis but other than finding some positions uncomfortable it otherwise isn't an issue in her life.

They don't. I remember when gas stations starting piping crappy music outside. It was to discourage people from loitering.

We knew something was up, as her posture just got worse over the past year despite orthotics and excercise. She's grown so fast, particularly in her torso, and that's why it became so pronounced over the past six months. I have a feeling it's going to be brace and/or surgery- the doc didn't even have to do anything beyond look at her to diagnose it. They only took one x-ray and from the looks on their faces it was obvious that it wasn't minor. One thing I am really worried about is Marfan's syndrome- we may be getting genetic tests done as she has several of the symptoms.
