WB, don't worry too much. Tori is an amazing girl and will get through whatever is presented to her with your help and the support of the family and friends.

I just did a 5 minute download of information about Marfan's. Is anyone else in your family effected?

Oh WB I'm so sorry. My mother was convinced I had scolosis and I got tested a bajillion times. I'm guessing treatment has changed a lot since the Judy Blume book "Deenie" came out. That was one of my favorite pre-teen books.

Hugs to Tori and Mom!!!

I would like to thank the publishers of the latest Harry Potter book for scheduling the release to be the day after my moot court brief is due, and the weekend before I have to cram for finals, thus allowing me to read it all in one sitting without feeling guilty. And, perhaps most importantly, it's the weekend BT is gone to visit his folks so I can have the book all to myself.

WB, your poor girl. Hopefully it can be corrected now and then not have to deal with it.

Now I need to go research Marfan's.

(((hugs to mom and daughter)))

It sucks when the kidlets hurt, or when there is something wrong, and we know there is no quick fix.

Hey, thanks you guys! I'm sure it will be fine, but geez! Enough already! The kid has had one thing after another this year, and I just feel badly for her. She's a trooper, but still.... We'll know what we have to do in a few days- hopefully it's not anything too drastic. If she does have to have surgery, at least we already homeschool and don't have to worry about missing class for an extended period of time. Same goes for any back brace- that is a huge PITA for kids attending school.

NA- there isn't any on my side, but I kind of wonder about Eric's. It's sort of difficult to diagnose, and he's had a few close relatives that very well might have had it but are no longer around to test. It could be that she just happens to have some of the symptoms and not the actual syndrome, but it's nerve wracking to even think about. As far as scoliosis, her aunt Bobbi Jo (the one in Cleveland) has it, and Tori seems to take after her a great deal.

WB - sorry to hear about Tori. Maybe she's going through a lifetime worth of sh!t now just to get it out of the way. She's an awesome kid. Give her a big hug from us...
