Glad to hear she won't need surgery! If she's young enough they might be able to do a lot with a back brace too.

Soo... it's not every day you can make your boss feel "manly" in a work-safe way, but today was one of those days. What can I say, I needed the gatorade bottle opened and I have weak hands ;)

MG, stick to your guns and lets the mediators do their job. And, don't take any bait from the "others".

Things I currently hate:

1) Relying on a VP that's too busy to give a crap about me
2) People who say, "We'll meet again tomorrow at 4:00 to get a status update" who then ask for status nearly hourly between now and the 4:00 meeting. You'll get your damn status at 4:00!

At the 4:00 status update, list how much more *would* have been done had there not been frequent interruptions for hourly updates. I've done that before.

I had a manager barking at me for the last 2 days because she couldn't print to the printer on her desk (but she could print to any of the 6 other printers she has installed on her machine). I didn't have time until this afternoon to look at it. And when I did I discovered that...

her printer cable was not tightly plugged into her docking station.

I'm waiting for the tub reglazing guy to show up.....again. he was supposed to come on monday and didn't show. I called yesterday and he didn't call back. I called today, we scheduled for tomorrow then he called back because he had a cancellation for this afternoon. I told him 3:45 was fine. It's now 4:00 and no call, no knock. This should be that difficult.

I just sent out a request for an estimate from another company. God help me if I ever want to do aything major!
