Thanks for the update, Rose. Wish him our best and make sure he gets ome good Johnny time. I know that is important to him post-seizure.

Hugs to you both, MMG, and tell CM to behave and get better, so he can get better and misbehave!

Rose - thanks for the info. I like it when the bad news is mitigated in the same post. Please let us know if there's anything we (individually or as a group) can do for him.

Soooo....

Ty for all the well wishes for CM. I told him you guys send your best. There really isn't anything anyone can do for him now. He just needs to rest and take care of himself the next few days. I found out his job was basically not giving him a break or lunch til 2pm when he started working at 9am and he just his body can't handle that. But he is in good hands and he was in good hands so i don't worry.

Well, it hit over 100 today, and of course our air conditioner died. We had a tech out last week and he has a new fan on order, but knowing how these places operate, it could be winter by the time it 'arrives'. It's a zillion degrees inside and I'm roasting.

Ozron did send some of his storm up our way today, but not nearly enough. Still, I thought of his elegant prose when I stepped out into the rain today- I could definitely relate to how he felt as he was writing it.

Tori's doc called me at work yesterday, and was impressed when I told her I'd already made appts at the Scoliosis center and the dermatologists. (She said normally it takes forever to get into a dermatologist in the summer). The derm appointment was to look at a lesion Tori has on her arm, just to make sure it's nothing to be concerned about. (She has excema). Anyway, she said her x-ray shows a moderate curve, but she seemed happy to have caught it at this point rather than later. Today we got the paperwork for the Shriner's Hospital; her doc wants us to apply there, as they have the best pediatric spine docs in the biz. She then encouraged us to have the genetic testing done, so I am reluctantly doing so. I really have mixed feelings about this- I don't know why, but I do. Still, we need to know.

I have a feeling she may be in for a tough adolescence, but she's going to emerge an absolute swan, both physically and mentally. I look around at other kids her age and I am sooooo glad she is my kid- she has a great attitude, she's not afraid to talk to me about anything, and she has a very caring, empathetic soul. I just wish she wouldn't tell people I snore.

(She does, too).
