I got a very nice 14 mile recovery ride today and feel quite grand, thank you! :) Got some errands done and I haven't even needed ibuprofen today. I might take some for my back later but that was hurting for a while now, even before the big ride.

Status goes with having a minion, so maybe you can negotiate a raise later. Impressive title also counts for a lot.

Eh, it's a state job, so I'm not likely to get a raise, now or later. My scope of "ultimate responsibility" is expanding quite a bit (the new minion will also take over payroll, so I'll be ultimately responsible for that, too.) But, it sounds more impressive on my resume, and at this point I need to look as impressive as possible as I look for post-graduation work.
