I can't wait for the day I get to not work from my home.

It seems that no matter when it is that I decide to start working, or studying, or whatever requires focus, phone conversations commence outside the computer room door, jackhammers start up for the neighbor's pool repair project, BBQs and family reunions commence and just then when things get quiet, the neighbor behind us lights up his doobie, the scent of which wafts up to my window.

Not that any of it is particularly bad (with the exception of the jackhammer, I can't wait until they're finished!), it's just distracting. It's why I have my headphones on, cranked up. Right now, I'm listening to Duke Ellington and Count Basie.

Heading to the Park today, anyone else? Looking to have a nice dinner later.

It's rare that I get to the Park when it's still light out.

Just in case anyone didn't pre-order the new Potter book, they have them at Target for $17.99. Might be just for today...

Dear Ally,

I saw this in this month's issue of Out Magazine, and for some reason I thought of you.

I saw that while I was at Target yesterday and then went to Borders to pick up our pre-ordered copy for $20.99.

I couldn't believe it, either. Especially after I had kicked myself over not pre-ordering it for my son at Barnes & Noble.

I swear I rang up sooooo many copies. They had 60 boxes in the morning and when I left at 4, they only had 6 left. {I think maybe 3 were aside for preorders}.

What is killing me now is that I can't seem to find all of the other books. We bought all hardcovers to keep forever {LOL} and now where the hell are they? I also just realized I put a bunch of cds' in a box after I uploaded them and now the same fate!!! I bet you they are together, somewhere....

Boy is home from his weekend. Right now my recliner is doing some serious snoring.
