I notice on their site that their menus differ by location, and the CA Lovign Huts feature some Mexican inspired items. (vegan nachos, etc.) If anyone has a chance, by all means try it and report your findings here.

Aha, thank you Flippy.

In looking at their website, I HAVE eaten at their location in Chinatown. It was good, I need to go back, it's beena while.

While I don't think we're having any dinner tonight, Saturday night's dinner was fun. We were at Potrero War this weekend and as is the custom in our encampment (House of St. Martins), we had our Saturday night Feast, which is effectively a period themed potluck.

While some dishes were more authentic than others, it is always a little fun sampling different treats. We had Sheppards Pie, a couple of different sausages, various meat dishes, along with a few items that were a little more mundane. We were entertained by the more talented in the group with both song and poetry (I gave everyone the best gift I could and didn't sing a note), and one of the kids used her Girl Scout Songleader training and lead us all in a fun little ditty. And of course, all of this was outdoors by candlight.

Unfortunately, while the weather was great all day Saturday, the rain kicked in around 3 or 4 in the morning on Sunday. But overall, we had a great weekend (although we are both exhausted at the moment).

Ah, SCA. It's been a long long time for me. Sounds like fun.

I'm really craving macaroni and cheese. And grape soda.

When I was in college, my 'fancy' dinner was to make Kraft Mac n Cheese with grilled Polska Kielbasa mixed in. Then I would cover a plate-full with grated cheddar cheese and stick it in the broiler to melt the cheese.

That's funny. I had a "fancy" version of mac in college too. (Minced garlic and fresh rosemary)

Best part is, the rosemary was snipped off a bush on campus :)
