I did not like the "deep fried" snickers. It was more like a snickers bar dipped in sweet corn dog batter and fried. I was expecting a snickers bar dipped in a light coating and fried - more tempura style.

The deep fried avocados were tempura style, but they weren't spectacular. We had some amazing onion rings if you want that crispiness. The PB & banana, as well as the oreos, were corn dog batter style (though I believe it's not corn based, you're right, it's a thick batter).

Yucky.

Apparently it might not particularly matter much.

Diet sodas correlate to similar health issues as sugary couterparts.

But did you read what the study says? It was an observational study, not a causative one. It is more likely that people who drink diet soda are already inclined to be overweight etc.

The deep fried Twinkies made me want to take a shower!

Sigh...

Lindsay Lohan Arrested Again

Quote:

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Five days after being booked in connection with a May drunk driving charge, actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested early Tuesday morning on five charges -- including drunk driving and possession of a controlled substance, Santa Monica police told CNN.
The whole story

Now I am hearing that she was "chasing" the mother of her personal assistant who had just quite a few hours earlier (the personal assistant quit - not the mother). The "controlled substance" is allegedly cocaine.

Funny, it's like "rehab" doesn't mean "rehabilitation" any more.

Yeah, thus my use of "correlate".

The above amuses me. Posted about 2 hours apart. Haha.

Thank you! I may try the avocado and split some onion rings with my friend. Or eat them myself. I know I want a funnel cake too. Problem is, I can't eat all of it and the boys don't want to share. The Oreo may be good since the batter is cake like.

Nope, wasn't there last night. Went opening night and will be there Saturday for most of the day (and the Martina McBride concert) and hopefully once more before it leaves.

BTD - Avocado doesn't sound bad, but I've tried the snickers one, and it was... I dunno, too much. But you know me, I'm on the fence when it comes to most "sweets" (with the exception of straight up awesomeness in the form of usually pure chocolate and the occasional Sees, a.k.a. not Snickers and not messed-with. ;) ). That and fried makes me feel bleh. Except bloomin' onions. Yeah.

Thinking of caaaaandy, I still have two Sky Bars sitting in my bedroom, with your name on them.
