So...most likely, those photos of her going in to the club earlier, she probably was drinking then, too?

I thought she was wearing the monitor voluntarily so I'd guess she could take it off if she wanted to. Her publicist said she was wearing it so the press could "see" she wasn't drinking when she went out with her pals.

She's got another DUI now plus cocaine posession. Sad really.

Oh, I didn't realize it was voluntary. So, they did show it to make people think she was not drinking.

It is sad. I mean, she is a person. We all have people we know and love and this sort of destructive behaviour isn't good, no matter how much money they have. It just isn't good. It isn't a good place, mentally, either, you know? She can not be, really, well. Unless this is the thinking like they are above it all? I guess I am thinking like a normal person?

I don't know. All I know is when I go out with friends and we drink, we make sure first how everyone is getting home or else we enjoy the drink{s} first off and then spend the rest of the time doing things to let the buzz wear off.

I'd also think, and this is just me personally, if I had just gotten out of a stint in re-hab I'd stay away from temptation. Clubs, parties and such I'd hold off on for a while. But then I'm not 21 and invincible anymore either.

We discussed this a bit in the Addiction thread. The disease of alcoholism/addiction is a double edged sword. You THINK you can do it on willpower alone, but thinking you can stay sober on willpower is one of the most cunning aspects of the disease. That's why admitting you are powerless over alcohol or drugs is one of the most important aspects of recovery. Lohan won't admit that she is powerless. But, she obviously is. She keeps doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

I'll pass that on - not a big pork sandwich person. I'm really looking forward to the roasted corn. And sno cones.

Isn't that the "definition of insanity" ?

Exactly!

And see, I don't think she's powerless at all. If believing in the power outside yourself is the trick that does it, it's still YOUR doing - i.e., your power that did the requisite belief system.

There may be other tricks or methods ... but they are still all your doing as the addict or alcoholic. Until that magic drug comes along to directly affect the dopamine system and the cognitive malady, the doing is all yours. Even when the pill comes along, it's up to your personal willpower to take the pill.

Oh, were we talking about Lohan? If she's got a soul, she can help herself. And if it's God that's going to help her, there's no artificial "invitation" needed.

Apparently Brittany is on the verge of another breakdown too.
