I got a speeding ticket on the way to work today. 50 in a 45. Unsafe driving on Brookhurst. Because the drivers in the area prefer to drive 30 in the 45. Are you kidding me?? :mad:

Ok, maybe I'm easily amused. Had a surprise houseguest the last couple of days. Good to see him. He brought another guy who we used to be friends with today; I would have rather not had this guy see the house (houses accumulate a *lot* of stuff and I'd rather have him impressed than think we're hoarders) but it wasn't politic to say so, so I figured it was better to be polite and have him gone as soon as possible. Yesterday was a good day with my friend, though. Went to Ventura, puttered around the pier, did some walking on the beach, he brought some sand back for his wife in Jersey; took some pictures; had some sushi. And visited a bookstore. He got a spiffy new camera but has no idea what makes a good picture- so I found a good book for him on photography. Reserved a B&N Nook Tablet and it should be in in just a couple of days. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait! :) So now I get to come back here and check what you have all been up to. :) |
