I think we're going to have to have a Meadow-off, because there can only be one pretty meadow in the Sierras.

Then won't the prize go to Tuolumne?

But just to be sure I guess I'll have to visit them all. And I'll have to return to Zumwalt with Lani since pretty places are prettier to me when I'm with her.

Well, I love Tuolumne as well as Zumwalt, so I am useless in making a choice.

Well, the blue wasn't an intentional add by me. It is what came out when I trimmed the edges off the levels.

I love the blue tones your camera captures, Alex.

IMHO, the photos are over-saturated. The colors do not look natural to me.

But I work in print, so this is the kind of thing I look at.

Is that before or after the curmudgeon-off?

That sounds like a spray you use to ward off grumpy old people ( and I want a case of it)!

Who said good photography has to look natural?

To me, the photos look over-saturated. That is my opinion regardless. Not that over-saturated in and of itself is bad, but to me, they are close enough to natural to make them look like and over-saturated version of something that should look closer to natural.

This is also dependent on each person's monitor and viewing conditions. What may look over-saturated on my monitor could look OK on someone else's monitor.

If one were to try to print those photos using four-color process (the standard printing process for full-color reproduction), they would be very disappointed when the printed color looks nowhere near what they are seeing on the screen.

Don't know why it never occurred to me to ask this before, but Kevy, do you guys do art prints by any chance?
