ARG! I can't seem to retain any of the RPCs. My brain is full. Nothing wants to stick. I have to have this all in my brain by 6:30 pm. I really really hate this. Right now, I'd rather pack it all in and go flip burgers for the rest of my life.

I'm sorry it's tough going. I hope it improves!

I'm going to do the anti-teflon dance to improve your memory for you, so things stick better!

When I had my brief (and by brief, I'm talking two weeks, because I realized it was a massive undertaking on my part, and backed out kindly), time in the wine biz...

I was working for a distributor that dealt specifically in wines from the southern hemisphere. One partner was from Australia and the other was from South Africa. If I'm not mistaken, and I didn't look it up, I know that Australia pretty much pioneered the caps on nice wines, as well as other south of the equator wineries.

Good stuff, too.

Yes. Screwtop bottles don't experience "corking," which is basically when the cork fails and allows air into the bottle affecting the taste of the wine.

A lot of the NZ wines have screwtops. I don't have a problem with them, and you never have to worry about having a corkscrew. They're also great for picnics, because you can close up and transport any unused portion without worrying about spillage.

So.... I come back to LoT after 5 days at Comic Con to find 1248 new messages.

Damn.

Con was great - crowded as hell - made contacts - saw old friends - hot babes in skimpy outfits (pictures soon) and way, way, WAY to many other things besides comics at a Comic Con.

Now to the other posts.

Our GM/owner is trying to "dummy" proof it for the guys in the warehouse.

I really don't mind, it is something that will keep me busy for a while.

OH !! So you're not doing this to all your glasses at home then.

ARG! I can't decode most acronyms. RPC? Role playing character? Reptilicus' Personal Computer?

LOl, no LB, it is for the rental company I work for.

This morning was quite the non-event. I got there at 8:00, I didn't have to be there until 8:30. Dawn was the first person I saw when I went to sit down in the hallway. She was looking at me, very smug, very pleased with herself. I went outside to wait for my moral support, in the form of a friend, E and my sister, L.

By the time they got there it was 8:30. I talked to my lawyer, who told me I have nothing to worry about, but that things might be posponed. He told me to stay where I was, out of the sight line of the other 2, and just sit tight. He was very reassuring.

He kept coming back to let me know what was going on. It seems David's paycheck stubs didn't add up. When looking at the numbers and adding them, there seems to be a $10,000 discrepancy in the numbers. Meaning there is $10,000 unaccounted for.

He then went on to say why he wanted me sitting where I was. David was making an ass out of himself, even to the point where his own lawyer thought he was ridiculous and could see that he was doing it to get to me. He was sitting with Dawn, with his arm around her, making a show of being there with her. At one point he came around the corner and seemed like he was going to say something to me, but then saw my sister and choked on his words and turned away after giving me an odd look and a nod.

So now he has to come up with an explanation about the missing money.

The best thing to come out of today was just being able to talk to my lawyer about David's statements and showing him my concerns. Mostly that he is trying to say that he is the only person bringing in income at their residence. I was told not to worry, the court doesn't care about his other expenses, only that Nick and I are taken care of.

E and I had a smoke after leaving the courthouse. We were standing in front, I made sure she was the one facing the door. Boy was Dawn shooting us some dirty looks. David walks fast and was leaving her in the dust (She was waddeling on 3 inch heels). He finally said something to her and she had to run to catch up with him.

So while nothing was resolved I feel 100xs better.

I don't know this person Dawn or David but I think I just might hate them.

It sounds like you are a class act, MG. :snap:
