eeew Tomatos! <<Shudders>> Like George Carlin says "I never eat anything that doesn't look likes its finished developing yet." |

Agreed on the tomatoes. Avocado, however, is heavenly. |

That's difference is I don't eat gross things and then tell you afterward that they were good. |

I just want to say that I love that there is a 6 page (and growing) thread about bacon. I thought about starting a thread on ham to see if it could keep up. It probably could but no sense ruining ham for everyone (Hi Leo!). |

I'm having a Tony Roma's Bleu Cheeseburger for lunch today - yummy crumbles of bleu cheese and two nice strips of bacon :D |

I like tomatoes, but only thinly sliced. Same goes for my avocado. I use avocado as more of a "spread" since I really don't care for mayonnaise (use mayo pretty much only for making a tuna salad). Back to the tomatoes, I love the flavor, but pretty much can't stand chomping on a cherry tomato... because it GUSHES out. Ewww! My perfect bacon sandwich would be bacon, sharp cheddar (though a good number of cheeses would be amazing), thin-thin-thinly sliced tomato with a few thinly sliced avocado pieces. Is it wrong that I'm quivering a bit at the thought? |

Is it possible that many of you that do not like tomatos have never tried a home grown? The difference is like saying I don't eat apples because I hate oranges. Well, almost anyway. The differnce is huge. And I found a new tomato I grew last season called Orange Pixie that is out of this world! I love the Home Grown Tomatos with home grown fresh Sweet Basil! Yummmm!!!! :snap: |

Yes, home grown tomatoes are different than store bought, but no less gross. |
