Typically the "final challenge" is based on physical endurance. Goose. Cooked.

You are probably right, although her competition isn't exactly formidable in that regard. Perhaps she can pull something off (ok, she never has before but...)

By the way, everyone probably already knows this but, just in case - The season finale is this Sunday. Get those tivos set. :)

I kinda agree with Alex in that if he was playing to win, giving up immunity may have been his only option. The entire jury hates him, if he's in final 3, he's gets 3rd. Period.

That said, there's no way he should have thought it worked, so even though it might have been the correct last, desperate act, he's still an idiot for thinking it would actually work. Maybe if he had come up with it himself and, without consulting anyone, given it up to her at tribal he might have had a chance of convincing everyone of his selflessness. Maybe. But to follow the advice of 3 women who flat out told them to his face they were pissed at him for lying to them? Wow. Just....wow.

Not having seen the season earlier than a few episodes ago, why does everybody hate him?

Other than being dim, he seems likable enough. Was there some specific act or just a clash of personality?

Ghoulish Delight 05-10-2008 10:19 AM

He's flipped alliances a few times.

I think he could have totally turned the whole thing around on them. They have been scheming little wenches, lying to and getting rid of James, Ozzie, and trying to do the same to Jason. All he had to do was bring that stuff up at tribal to deflect the criticism he was having by pointing out that they do it when it is in their best interest and the only thing he did wrong was that they are better at lying and scheming than he is.

And then turned to them and said "So you bitches better vote me out if you ever get the chance because I plan to win every immunity challenge and go all the way."

Of course that would have required some balls which Erik is sadly lacking.

Would have loved to see it. Probably would have ensured himself Ozzie, James, and Jason voting for him, anyway!

Well it's over.

That was a helluva season. I'll wait till tomorrow to go into details...

Ghoulish Delight 05-11-2008 10:51 PM

So at some point in there, he said he was just completely confused by how the girls acted. Apparently Erik never went to summer camp.
